Time is running out to sign-up for Big Break 2009! If you’re already signed up, great! But if not…well, get on it!
We’re going to Panama City Beach, Florida once again to spend a week sharing with college students from accross the country. It’s going on from March 21 to 28, and the cost is $259 excluding transportation and food (however, please don’t let cost influence your decision). For more info, contact Sam Pomager at snp39 (at) drexel (dot) edu.
And, maybe to help sway you a bit further, here is a testimony from last year’s Big Break from our friend Jake Washburn.
I didn’t know what to expect driving down to Panama City Beach, Florida for Big Break last year. In fact, I was afraid of the spring break party scene. The thought of being caught in the middle of drinking, partying, and dancing was a scary thought for a young believer. I chose to go anyway because I wanted to grow in evangelism, the warm weather sounded nice as well.
Hundreds of college students had gathered together for one purpose – to share the gospel with lost college students. It was amazing to see everyone’s passion to share the gospel with these students. Before going out everyday, we were equipped with tracts and surveys that helped us lead our conversations about spiritual experiences into the gospel. As we witnessed, the Campus Crusade for Christ staff stayed behind to pray for us, asking God to soften the hearts of the lost college students, and for the Holy Spirit to speak through us.
Three hundred of us were able to reach thousands with the gospel message that week, and two hundred fifty students were saved. I was amazed to see God working powerfully through us to impact people’s hearts for His glory. Overall, Big Break was a great time to get to know each other and form long-lasting friendships with other students, in addition to sharing the gospel. After going to Big Break, I’ve had a greater desire to share the gospel with lost students on campus in hopes that God will save them.
Well, we hope you’ll consider going down to Florida for Big Break this year! For more info, visit www.big-break.com.
