get involved!

Our vision statement provides the motivation for the many different activities we hold as a ministry. Here are the five specific ways that you can get involved, categorized according to each part of our vision statement.

...grow in love for Jesus Christ

1. Weekly Large Group Meetings.
We gather on campus, at varying locations, on Wednesday evenings, to worship, pray, and hear from God's word through a local pastor or Cru staff member. These meetings are a great time to take a break from a busy week for fellowship and renewal, and to meet the majority of members in the ministry! We also use these times to keep everyone up-to-date with important weekly announcements. Locations and details are in the CC Weekly Newsletter, and will be updated on drexelcru.com's front page.

For more information about large groups, contact Thea Weaver at trw45@drexel.edu.

2. Weekly Growth Groups.
Every week, we gather in smaller groups on campus to go through books on Christianity, or engage in a study of a particular book of the Bible. We hold groups on two different evenings, so you can choose which evening of the week is more convenient for you. These are great contexts to build relationships with upperclassmen, grow deeper in fellowship and faith, and to learn more about why Christians believe what we believe! We also host upperclassmen growth groups.

For more information about growth groups, contact Chris Spurdle at resonation7@gmail.com.

3. Retreats and Conferences.
At Drexel, life can quickly get busy and the workload can seem overwhelming. So we're always up for a weekend away, surrounded by lakes, trees, fresh air, and the marked absence of malevolent garbage-ravaging squirrels. We hold three annual retreats, in the fall, spring, and summer. A brave and intrepid local pastor joins us for refreshing times of worship and teaching. Join us as we remind ourselves of the goodness of God and build lasting friendships with one another!

For more information about our annual retreats, contact Christianna Mennitt at christianna.l.mennitt@drexel.edu.

Our parent organization, Cru, also hosts several yearly conferences: the RADIATE conference in the winter, and Big Break (in Florida) over spring break. These conferences exist to equip students in practical evangelism and theology, as well as inspire a vision for the spread of the Gospel worldwide. They're also great for connecting with other students from across the nation! You can find out more about those at Cru's conference info website, or talk to us. We'd love to tell you about our experiences!

4. Evangelism Training and Outreach Efforts.
It's our desire that all would come to a saving faith in Christ. We believe that we are called, as Christians, to fulfill the Great Commission to "make disciples of all nations" (Matt. 28:19) in full confidence that our Savior is with us always, accomplishing the work of salvation as we step out in faithful obedience. We implement this practically through direct sharing of the Gospel on campus every Thursday evening, and providing hands-on training to those who are new or less experienced.

In addition, we love to serve our fellow students in practical ways through various outreach opportunities, such as providing free water on campus, or, in the winter, hot chocolate.

For more information about our evangelism and outreach efforts, contact Branden Tolle at btolle89@gmail.com.

5. Involvement in a Specific Local Church.
Although we enjoy many of the benefits of being the body of Christ on campus, our ministry is not the local church, nor does it seek to replace what we believe is the primary, God-ordained context for the growth of a believer. We strongly encourage members of Campus Crusade to get plugged into a church in the area, and would love to help you find one! We hold Find-a-Church on the first couple weeks of the term and would be happy to answer any questions you might have about this.
