Once you’re all moved in and settled into the world of Drexel, you may be wondering, “What can I do with the Cru?” The answer: plenty. Below is a rundown of all we have going on during the first few weeks of the term.

Find-a-Church

You’ll find that we’re very passionate about the local church in Cru. We believe that the local church plays an integral role in the spiritual life of a Christian. That’s why we hope to see you at our Find-a-Church event!

Meet outside Myers Hall at 10 a.m. on the first three Sundays you’re on campus (Sept. 20, 27 & Oct. 4) to learn about the churches in our area we attend.

Special Events

Fall BBQ
After you are finished with classes your first day (Sept 21) stop by our barbecue for some free food and great music outside Race Street Dorm. The fun starts at 5 P.M. Stop by and say hello!

Week 1 Party!
Come around to 3500 Hamilton Street at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 25 for an evening of music, dancing and all-around fun. If you’d like a walk or need directions, e-mail us at drexelcru (at) gmail (dot) com.

Large Group Meetings
Every Wednesday night at 7:15 P.M. we meet on campus for a time of worship and teaching from a local pastor. These are great times of fellowship and teaching! For Weeks 1-3 of the term, we’re meeting in Bossone Auditorium. After that, keep up with locations by visiting www.drexelcru.com or emailing drexelcru (at) gmail (dot) com.

Small Groups
Monday and Tuesday evenings we get together in the dorms as small groups to read and discuss great books and study God’s Word. For more info about times and locations, visit www.drexelcru.com or email drexelcru (at) gmail (dot) com.

Some folks from Drexel Cru will be helping new and returning students move into their dorms on Wednesday and Thursday this week. If you’re moving in then, be sure to look out for us and say hello! If you’re moving into a dorm sometime other than Wednesday or Thursday and would like some help, we’d be glad to! Just e-mail us at drexelcru (at) gmail (dot) com or leave a comment. This summer Cru is devoting the week of Monday, July 13 to Saturday, July 18 to pray for the people of and the ministry as a whole. From 7PM - 9PM Monday through Thursday and from 7PM - 8AM Friday into Saturday, we will spend the time worshiping and praying together as a group. These meetings will take place at 3410 Hamilton Street, 1st Floor.

For those who are on summer break, at home on co-op or who are alumni, you don’t have to be on campus to participate! Simply sign up for a time slot and commit to pray during that time. For those who are on campus, you should still sign up for a time slot and commit to pray during that time. During the day, the Campus Crusade for Christ office in the basement of Creese will be open for prayer. Contact Nathan Lee (nkl26 at drexel dot edu) for access.

Also - we will be holding growth groups this term as well. We will be going through the book The Enemy Within by Kris Lundgaard. (See “Small Groups” in the navbar for contact information.)

Large Group: Wednesday at 7:15 in Matheson 109, (the auditorium), we are having large group. Pastor Barry Kang from Grace Covenant Church will be speaking on Wisdom From Above. Come out for a time of worship, prayer, fellowship, and teaching. Large group will be in Matheson 109 for the rest of the term.

Campus Prayer - 2:00 in the Creese lobby. Get together to pray for the campus. Contact Tad with any questions at trm39 (at) drexel (dot) edu.

Campus Evangelism - Meet at Ross commons at 6:30 to go out on campus and share the Gospel. Contact John with any questions at jrc49 (at) drexel (dot) edu.

Alpha is meeting in Ross Commons Room 302. Come out and bring a friend for an introduction to Christianity. There is a lesson, a FREE MEAL, and a time for discussion. Contact Cameron with any questions at cmt43 (at) drexel (dot) edu.

Spring Fest - 5/14

THIS Thursday, May 14th, we will be having SpringFest with food, live music, and maybe even games at Buckley green (volleyball courts) from 6-9. Invite your friends. More details to come.

Supa P-hat - 5/16
Our quarterly SupaPhat breakfast is happening on Saturday May 16. It will be held at 3500 Hamilton. Come out and bring your appetite! We will be talking about the vision and purpose of Cru - it will be a great time!
